RE: 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #39 - the absolute winner takes 200 SBD!
The Golubac Fortress is a medieval fortified town on the south side of the Danube River in East part of Serbia. Fortress was built during the 14th century, and changed a lot of owners. It was a witness of many battles between Ottoman Empire and the Kingdom of Hungary. It was owned by Turks, Bulgarians, Hungarians, Serbs, and Austrians, until 1867, when it was turned over to Serbia.
