Cromlech of the Almendres - Cromeleque dos Almendres - Megalithic complex - Evora, Portugal Blog

This megalithic complex is located outside the town of Evora, in the Alentejo region of Portugal. Constructed between 6000BC and 4000BC. It is believed to be a primitive astronomical observatory. If, like me, you like neolithic and megalithic structures this is a great on to visit and you usually have it all to yourself. Plus the town of Evora is really lovely to visit. Will post some photos of that in another post

Este complexo megalítico está localizado fora da cidade de Évora, na região alentejana de Portugal. Construído entre 6000BC e 4000BC. Acredita-se que seja um observatório astronômico primitivo. Se, como eu, você gosta de estruturas neolíticas e megalíticas, esta é uma ótima visita e você geralmente tem tudo para si mesmo. Além disso, a cidade de Évora é realmente adorável para visitar. It is also in an area of great natural beauty and you will see lots of cork trees.
