How to nurture a child not to be afraid to bathe in the river?

Not all kids can swim at the age of 3 years. But there are children who can swim at this age. Mostly children love water no matter they are in the pool, the river or the sea. But different from my daughter, everydays she asked to take her to the pool, but after we there she was afraid to get into the water ... 😅

I still don't know how to make her to not afraid to swim even with her buoy. This is the first time she went to the river, before this she already went to swimming pool and sea.

Our short holidays

Today is the second day we having a holidays at my hometown. The weather is good, which is cloudy. It's a perfect time to take the kids for swimming in the nearby river. Because we didn't want to go there early due to cold water also we didn't want go there in the evening because usually it will be raining like yesterday, so we go there in the afternoon around 11:30. We estimate the time there only for two hours.

It only took us 10-15 minutes to reach there from home. Because the road still not upgrade, I had to drive slowly. Still need to improve the road with paved, hope the new government will be able to help.

The place

The venue is run by the owner of the land itself and has more than a year's operation. Entrance ticket is MYR3 and for children aged below 12 is free.

The river water is a fusion of springs from the top of the hill. So when it's raining above, the river's water will go up and tough . The owner of the place has renovate and enlarged and deepened the river. There are 3 types of adapted depths that is 5 feet, 3.5 feet and 1 feet.

So you don't have to be afraid if you drowning cause they already place a buoy each depth.

Safety zone

Mostly all the time she just stay at the edge of the river, unlike her bravery (@debbie89 daughter) cousin who swimming with her buoy and she didn't want us to hold her ☺. Brave little girl...
I did drag her into the river but she kept shouting and crying due to scared. Maybe had to take her to swimming regularly so that she will adapt to it.

They do provide a place for BBQ, a toilet, a room (different charge) , a swimming pool (but we didn't go there) , a stall, a books to read and a small cage rabbits (it is only 3 rabbits actually) .

It is a good place to relax for a family, away from city and been place in the village. Friendly place to take your children or just to hang out with your friends and familys.
