The Beauty of Olango Island 😊
Have you ever been to Olango Island?
Well, if you haven't you should go there as soon as possible . You'll miss half of your life if you don't do it sooner . You don't have to commute far away from the city just to go the a beautiful island. It will just take an hour by commute. If you want to enjoy and relax why go far. :)
I am a kind of person that likes to explore and be away from all the work stress load. I am not rich and I am just working for my own living so I needed a break some other time . I was planning to go very far but it might cost me a lot of money so I decided to go to Olango Island. It is an island that will only take a short time to get there.
How to get there?
From Cebu City , you need to go to SM Cebu City V-hire terminal. Take a V-hire and drop off at Gaisano Island Mall Mactan and ride a multicab going to Punta Engano and tell the driver to drop you off at Movenpick port. Head straight to the ticketing office and buy a fery ticket going to Olango Island for only 15 pesos and you need to pay for terminal fee. The travel time is 20 to 30 minutes by boat and they have a boat schedule every hour.
See it doesn't cost a lot though and you can take tricycles to bring you to your destination in Olango Island . For me I went to Marine Sanctuary . The entrance fee is only 25 pesos. You can do many activities here like snorkeling , boat paddling , fish watching , diving , fish feeding and island hopping.
Olango Island is a very peaceful and serene place to unwind. You can see their own natural nature . It is not crowded and you can see locals and they are very friendly . If you are in a budget and you want to enjoy . It is the best place for you . I just did a day tour because I need to go back to the city .
My trip was very short but it was satisfying . I did not know that Cebu has many island to explore and I just want to share to everyone that enjoying life doesn't cost a lot of money . You can enjoy even though you are in a budget . You don't need to be luxurious to travel . If you can , you can be a back packer. You commute and book any hotels that are budget friendly . It won't hurt your pocket. We are still young to worry about money . Enjoy life to the fullest and don't limit yourself. :) I know you are capable and able to travel on your own . What are you waiting for ? Go to Olango Island now 😊
