Esta semana una amiga fue con un grupo de brasileros a conocer el hermoso estado de Mérida. Ella nunca había ido tampoco y a mi me fue imposible acompañarlos, por lo cual han perdido mucho tiempo dando vueltas, asi que este post será para darle pequeños datos que le servirán si van a Mérida con tiempo limitado.

This week a friend went with a group of Brazilians to know the beautiful state of Merida. Primero varias cosas que tenemos que conocer por ley en Mérida:

• El teleférico de Mérida Mukumbari (hasta su última estación)
• La laguna de Mucubaji
• La heladería de 100 sabores en Mérida (la última vez que fui estaba abierta).

Bueno para comenzar voy a explicarle como se puede llegar a la ciudad de Merida. Ya que el aeropuerto de Mérida no cuenta con vuelos comerciales (pero si tienes un buen piloto y una avioneta llegue vía aérea que seria 40 min de vuelo), para llegar por tierra; si partimos del terminal de la Bandera en la ciudad de Caracas son aproximadamente como 12 horas se pueden ir en expresos flamingo o Aerovías de Venezuela, hay varias líneas de expresos que salen desde Caracas a la Ciudad de Merida, allí los dejan en el terminal de Merida, particularmente yo prefiero viajar en la tarde es decir, salir como a las 6 pm de caracas para estar como las 6 o 7am en la ciudad de Merida, así duermo y no me molesta tanto durar 12 horas en un autobús, otra cosa les recomiendo es comprar unas pastillas que se llaman Viajesan o alguna para los mareos, debido a que hay muchas curvas por el camino, uno se marea fácilmente. Luego de llegar al terminal tomen un taxi de la línea del terminal y díganle que los dejen en la Plaza las Heroínas queda frente al Teleférico y lo mejor es que hay una varios hoteles cerca de diferentes costos aparte que son céntricos y seguros.

I recommend buying some pills your name Viajesan or some for dizziness, because there are many curves along the way, one gets easily dizzy. Sin embargo el aeropuerto del Vigía si tiene vuelos comerciales que salen desde el Aeropuerto Simón Bolívar, Maiquetía (Venezuela) o el Aeropuerto de Valencia (Venezuela) que duran 45 min aproximadamente, al llegar al pueblo del El Vigía estas solo a una 1 hora y media de Mérida. Puedes tomar un taxi del aeropuerto del Vigía hasta el terminal de pasajeros del pueblo del Vigía y allí tomas un bus hasta la cuidad de Mérida al llegar al terminal toma un taxi a La Plaza las Heroinas alli como dije antes hay varios hoteles para escoger.

Luego de llegar por fin a Merida les recomiendo que se queden en los hoteles que están cerquita de la plaza, porque así pueden levantarse bien temprano (5 am) para comprar el ticket para subir al teleferico si se levantan tarde no podrán subir y menos si van en temporada alta. A parte que en la plaza hay wifi gratis, pueden salir a caminar en las noches (no muy noche por favor) ya que la plaza en las noches tiene venta de comida, ropa, artesanía, entre otros. A su vez que se ve súper linda con las luces.

Hay una pizzería a leña que a mi me gusto mucho ya que las pizzas eran grandes, ricas y no muy costosas.

Cerca de la plaza hay un pequeño mercado donde alquilan Chaquetas gruesas para el frio ya que si vamos al teleférico hay que llegar a la última estación y no sería muy agradable que les diera mal de paramo (explicación científica es la falta de oxígeno en el organismo provocada por el ascenso rápido a grandes alturas). Se me olvidaba hay unas bebidas que se llaman calentaito es una bebida a base de licor que ayuda al organismo a mantener el calor, pero no tomen demasiado porque cuando bajen la montaña el licor subirá a la cabeza y estarán ebrios.

Para subir al teleférico de Mérida Mukumbari; se debe primero levantar bien temprano coman algo ligero, hagan su colita para comprar los boletos lleguen temprano para que sean los primeros, disfruten, pasen mucho frio, puedan quedarse en cada estación y apreciar el paisaje a medida que ascendiendo hasta la última estación, el Teleférico abren a las 7 am hasta las 3 pm de martes a domingo (en Venezuela ningún parque nacional abre los domingos), en la última estación hay un pequeño café donde venden pastelitos, chocolate y otras cositas. Como sugerencia tomen antes de subir si marean una pastilla para evitar los mareos, lleven barra de chocolate, escuchen a su cuerpo a medida que vayan subiendo la montaña hay personas que la altura les afecta muchísimo y se enferman, ya que su cuerpo no aguanta la presión por altitud.
