Walking tour of Prague and Prague Castle— our tour with Michal (Mike) was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about historical details, had extra materials including maps to show us to explain things, and managed our time very well! We loved it!
This castle is not what you expect in the typical understanding of a castle. It is an area that encompasses the whole series of buildings and gardens. It’s a big walk up and if you want to go inside you have to buy tickets. We chose not to and still really enjoyed the experience. The views across the city are stunning and the architecture is beautiful with a huge variety of styles. Changing of the guards happens regularly. Don’t miss out on the small streets up towards Loreto beyond the castle where you can have food in the quieter areas and enjoy a more peaceful experience after the busy tourist areas of old town and the Charles bridge.
The castle is a must if visiting Prague.
