[United Arab Emirates || 아랍에미리트] Dubai & Abu Dhabi || 두바이 & 아부다비 (1)

Hello,
This is my first travel post and today I will be writing about my most recent trip to United Arab Emirates! I visited the two biggest cities in the country, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. I stayed in Downtown Dubai for a week and made a quick day trip to Abu Dhabi during the week.

처음으로 여행 포스팅을 하는 에이미라고 합니다! 오늘은 제일 최근 여행지였던 아랍에미리트의 두바이와 아부다비에 대해 얘기해보려고 합니다. 저는 두바이에 일주일간 머물었고, 당일치기로 아부다비에 짧게 다녀왔습니다.

Just to give you a brief overview of the country, United Arab Emirates, abbreviated as UAE, is located in Western Asia, what we commonly call the Middle East. UAE shares its borders with Oman and Saudi Arabia and also the Arabian Sea. With the current political climate, it may be difficult imagining traveling to the Middle East, but the UAE is a highly diverse country with 7.8 million immigrants making up the population if 9.2 million. It has one of the highest immigrant population in the world. The UAE is made up of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi as two out of the seven. An emirate is a political territory ruled by different "leaders". Simply put, they are analogous to the different states in USA.
아랍에미리트에 대해 짧게 소개하면, 서남아시아에 위치해 있는 나라로 오만과 사우디아라비아와 국경을 접하고 있습니다. 요즘 이 시대에 중동으로 여행 간다는건 두렵고 무서울수도 있으나 아랍에미리트는 80% 이상의 인구가 이주민이 차지하고 있다는 사실! 그래서 딱히 무섭거나 낯설지는 않았어요.

I flew into Dubai International Airport via Emirates airline, took a cab to our hotel, Rove Downtown. There are a lot of taxis in Dubai but are pretty costly. I personally didn't think public transportation was very easily accessible than I expected but I utilized uber because it was just so easy and convenient!
두바이 국제공항에 도착해서 택시를 타고 다운타운에 위치한 호텔로 먼저 갔습니다. 두바이에는 택시도 많고 대중 교통도 잘 돼있다고 하는데요 저는 두바이에 있는동안 우버를 이용했습니다! 한국에는 우버가 없지만 한번 써보시면 우버의 편리함에 빠지실겁니다^^

After I checked into the hotel, I unpacked and rested through the night, catching up to the time difference. I will talk more in depth about my explorations soon!
