The Trip to Vienna. Part 1.
Vienna is the capital of Austria and frankly speaking, it's one of the most beautiful cities I've ever visited. Every building is so gorgeous and impressive and the streets are extremely clean. The Austrian Parliament Building is more than one hundred years old.
Vienna City Hall looks like Hogwarts.
There was a huge ice rink for those who love skating.
Lots of tourists rent horses at St. Michael's Square, but we didn't want to use this exploitative mean of transport.
Hofburg Palace was a royal residence, built in 13th century, today it's a large complex of different buildings. The palace is opened for visitors like Schönbrunn and Belvedere.
In 5 minutes walk from Hofburg there is Maria Theresien Platz. You will see there a monument of Maria Theresa - the only female ruler of the house of Habsburg.
There are also two identical buildings - Art History Museum and Natural History Museum. The ticket for one costs 20 euro, but it is worth the money. We visited Art History Museum, spent more than three hours there and we could explore more but that it was closing time.
If you are a fan of contemporary art, you can visit MUMOK.
Don't forget about the Albertina - the magnificent museum with the enormous collection of different times. The ticket costs 17 euro.
