December 26th, the catastrophic tectonic earthquake with 9.1 to 9.3 on the Richter scale followed by the tsunami in Aceh Darussalam, Indonesia. The devastating disaster has ghostly hundreds of thousands of lives.
In that event, the most violent tsunami wave has drowned Aceh's land. The earthquake was felt to Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Maldives, Malaysia and Somalia.
The trauma of the incident was still felt by the people of Aceh until today.
The tsunami tragedy on 26 December 2004 has not yet disappeared from their memory. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers (km) in the Indian Ocean, west of Aceh.
In the interval of 15 and 20 minutes after the earthquake, the giant wave of ± 30 meters triggered by the quake struck the entire coastal area of Aceh, Indonesia.
The tsunami was the largest disaster in the history of Indonesia, and included the most catastrophic natural catastrophes in the world,

The ruins or residual ruins of buildings due to the earthquake and tsunami storm on 26 December 2004 have now become a tourist attraction both in and out of the country in Aceh.
Floods of 2,200 tonnes of PLTD ships witnessed the tsunami tragedy. The vessel at the Ulee Lheue Port was hit by a strong sea wave of about 10 kilometers (km) to the mainland into the village of Punge Blang Cut, Banda Aceh.
The magnificent Tsunami Museum in the middle of Aceh City is four-story tall with its roof-like resemblance to the huge waves built in 2009 into a memory symbol of the tragic tragedy.
