A Visit To Swayambhunath After The 2015 Earthquake (Nepal) - Part II

in #travel7 years ago

Hey everybody!

This post is a continuation of my last one as there were just too many pictures to share with you guys. Anyway without further ado, let me show how the evening turned out to be that day! :)

It got really cloudy suddenly & the whole setting seemed as if some UFO would show up!

Meanwhile I took some time to sketch the stupa <3 ( It was getting really cold making it difficult to use the pencil :D )

Great post and photos. It's nice to see live going on after this disaster.

Yeah, everything has finally started to go back to normal :)

Beautiful pictures of beautiful places, victimised by natural disasters but still looks very beautiful. Great art work of stupa. Thanks for sharing, have a great day friend happy steeming.

Glad you liked it @maya7 :)

Amazing pictures! I like your sketch of them temple :) Nice work!

Glad you enjoyed them <3

Lovely place full of monkeys and an excellent view of the city. However, its main attractions are the three massive golden buddhas which must be seen there. They are actually really beautiful. Moreover, the place is peaceful and, in fact, one can learn a lot about buddhism.

I actually missed taking the pictures of the 3 massive buddhas while we were driving back! haha
But yes they are absolutely stunning!

Interesting place, glad to see it thriving after such a disaster. @aishwarya; good sketching of the temple. Hope you have much fun there.
