My trip to Waraira Repano on a cold and rainy day.

Yesterday I had the great opportunity to visit the glorious Waraira Repano.

The Ávila National Park is located along the central section of the Cordillera de la Costa mountain system, in the Cordillera de la Costa Central mountain range.The area's highest elevation is Naiguatá Peak, at 2,765 meters (9,072 ft) above sea level.

Waraira Repano has a cable car system that reaches the maximum height of 1500 meters above sea level. The route is very exciting for those of us who are not afraid of heights.

It all starts when you make the column to buy the ticket to use the teleferic system.

After entering it is possible to see works of art painted on the walls alluding to the cable car system and the fauna that lives there.

I think I was lucky to go on a cold and rainy day, which in the particular is not so common in a Caribbean country, because it makes you live something extreme that you never forget. During the drive I almost did not see anything and it was so cloudy that I only felt like the breeze was blowing against the direction in which I was heading at that moment.

After the journey of about 8 minutes I arrived. And the first thing that there are some long escarelas, which announce your arrival in this cold but beautiful place.

You also manage to visualize a wide and empty corridor

Then when you go out to that place you breathe pure air and feel the cold and fog go through all the way to the top. There are several stores that sell all kinds of sweets and the delicious hot chocolate. You can also see how there are several notices that try to raise awareness among the population to conserve these garbage-free environments.

Apart from the variety of food stalls, there is a small but beautiful flower that suggests that it is simply a place of tranquility and peace. We also found puppies that are used to the cold and are very friendly with everyone.
