بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم / BismillaahirRahmaanirRahiim. السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته / Assalaamu alaykum Warahmatullaahi Wabarakaatuh Rasulullah shaLlalahu alaihi wasallam mentradisikan some sports for the Muslims in his day. This sport is done not only for the body is strong but so the heart also get excitement. Because Islam is not only a matter of worship, but also humanitarian issues that need refreshing. Among the entertainments are as follows: 1. Running Competition Companions are accustomed to running fast, and the Prophet permitted him (sunna taqririyah). The Messenger of Allah himself held a match with his wife to give freshness, and he also taught his friends as told by Siti Aisha radhiyallahu anhu: "The Messenger of Allah is fighting with me and I am winning. When I stopped so my body became fat, Rasulullah saw me again and he won. Then he said: This victory for the victory. "(Narrated by Ahmad and Abu Daud). 2. Wrestling Rasulullah never wrestle with a man named Rukanah who is famous for his strength, and this game done for several times. In one hadith narrated Abu Daud explained, "Surely the Messenger of God wrestled with the famous Rukanah of his strength, then he said; Sheep against the sheep. Then Rasulullah wrestled and he said: Promise me to (do wrestling) again at a later time. Then Rasulullah wrestled saying: Promise me, then the Messenger of Allah wrestled for the third time. Then the man asked; what should I say to my family? Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) replied: Say "the sheep has been eaten by the wolf, and a sheep fled." Then what did I say for the third? Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) replied: We can not defeat you to wrestle because it is your reward. "(Narrated by Abu Daud). 3. Archery Among the entertainment justified by syara 'is archery. At one point the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was walking along to meet a group of friends who were holding an archery, then the Messenger of Allah said: "Throw your arrow, and I am with you all." (Narrated by Bukhari) Archery match is not just a hobby or a game, but one way to prepare for the strength as commanded by Allah Subhanahu wa ta ala: "And be prepared for all of you to face them (enemies) with the power you have." Al Anfal: 61). When explaining this verse, the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Know that the power is archery, he utters it three times." (Muslim. In another hadith also explained: "You must learn archery, because the archery is the best of your game." (HR Bazzar and Thabrani). However, the Prophet reminded the Companions not to make the animals benign and so on as the target of practice, as commonly practiced by Arab Jahiliyah. Ibn Umar said: "Indeed the Messenger of Allah curse people who make something animate as the target of archery." (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim). The prohibition of making tame animals (other than hunting) as the target of archery because there is an element of torture against animals. Therefore, the Prophet also forbade the pitting of animals as did the Arabs of Jahiliyah, that is, they brought two sheep and cattle to be pitted to death. 4. Play Fencing In this case the Messenger of Allah allowed the people of Habashah (Ethiopia) to play fencing in the mosque of Nabawi and he also allowed Aisha to watch the game.
