Yesterdays run route
Tried a different route around Jackfish Power Plant today.
On my way, someone hung up a set of lost keys.
Punched into the trail at the Coop, then picked my way up to the lookout.
Then used the highway to get around the power plant. Loose gravel and heavy traffic reminded again why I prefer trails.
As soon as I was over the hill, I got back into the trail, and shadow-selfie land. I am not sure what made the animal tracks, but I did see some 'sicsic' activity.
This is a 'sicsic' (squirrel) and with them being active, I think it means hibernation season is over, for them AND for bears.
Back along the Marylyn Robertson section, I met a couple of dogs. Great looking pair, and I thought I recognized 'Thor' from a few days ago, but a closer look showed me this is a different dog.
All in all, a great run! About 11.5km, over about 90 minutes. Easy effort, hard conditions. The snow melted a bit, then re-froze, so slippery and irregular terrain, but other than the steep sections, this was pretty easy to deal with (by lowering speed)
The pictures are beautiful and the dogs so handsome. goes green with envy which camera did u use?
I have a Pentax k3, and this day I had a 15mm lens on it. I carry it in a chest-strap thing made by a company called 'Cotton Carrier'. It leaves my hands free.
