Now that the Taproot soft fork upgrades are “locked in,” the next phase of activation is basically a 5-month waiting period. During this time, miners and nodes will have ample opportunity to update their software to Bitcoin Core 0.21.1, the newest version of Bitcoin Core that contains activation logic for the Taproot soft fork (and some other improvements).

Finally, in November, when Bitcoin reaches a specified “block height” (Bitcoin block 709,632), Taproot will activate; that is, the Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs) relevant to Taproot and contained in Bitcoin Core 0.21.1, will automatically kick in. The whining Bitcoiners don’t get it how much @Elon_Musk (Tesla) eventually is helping strengthening $BTC and all Altcoins by demanding to change bad practices. Elon and Tesla have always been for sustainable/green energy. Calling out the elephant in the room to right the wrong is a wise move! Kudos to Elon, the genuinely genius and good person. Stop bashing Elon and Tesla. You will thank him in few months when $BTC and all Cryptos come out stronger and better (if you are an honest people, of course)! #WeLoveYouElon!
