Turgutreis
Turgutreis is a part of bodrum where you can watch sunset best. Until 1972 Turgutreis is called "Kara Toprak" then changed its name as Turgutreis comes from old Ottoman Navy Amiral.
İt is not first place to seen in Bodrum but it has 500 years history with beautiful long beaches,mandarin fields, not very kind people. The marina is very famous and good opportunities for silence and beautiful view dinner. You can also visit Roman Church and Kadıkale castle in Turgutreis . The local market is also very famous to find delicious and fresh fruits and olives.
Also you swim the best beach in Bodrum called Meteor beach(believed that it is existed after meteor collapsed to sea) in Akyarlar/Turgutreis
In the evening Turgutreis streets represent very beautiful time for visitors with artists street and bar streets. Also in summer time there are many international concerts in Dmarina
