Beautiful things happening in Turkey!
In the beginning of August, one of the cool cool breezy poles of Bolu Abant, about 600 people got into classes in the morning and evening, the last 15 days learning new programming languages and system administration.
A large proportion of the 550 selected from approximately 1,600 applicants spend their summer vacation in this software camp. The instructors are more crazy, because they spend in this training camp, giving their annual leave they receive from companies.
Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University's modern campus has had great things in the last 15 days.
foundations thrown by late 1993 under the leadership of Mustafa Akgül and Linux users association in 2000, the structure of PARDUS TUBITAK projects in this camp is not a free software first, organized with the support. It's a campus now branded, finishing the ninth year.
This free software movement, which started in 2010 as a 1-class and 35-participant 10-day camp, has become a camp in 2018 where 150 out of 1600 applicants are selected and 21 classrooms and 15 different topics are taught in 15 days with 70 trainers.
Trainers come from important organizations, such as the Ministry of Defense, Havelsan, Undersecretariat of Treasury and Bilkent University. Participants from universities in the four corners of Turkey, comes from private and public institutions.
This camp was traditionally held in Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University since 2002 and has been owned by local artisans and tradesmen in Bolu. So much so that tradesmen have made campaigns for camp attendants. Even one of the ladies working as a college officer wrote his daughter this camp this year. And of course there are participants under the age of 18.
I'm very interested in this topic because I started as a software professional for my professional career. Free software philosophy is something I feel very close to myself since then. The basis of this philosophy lies in the collective contribution of scientific research. Today 90 percent of the information companies are using free software. But it is not easy to get the right free software right, transparently and reliably with the right projects.
Mustafa Akgül 9. Fundraising from the Brussels-based FundRequest , the main sponsor of the Free Software Summer Camp, the path to free software has come to an end in this great lack of space. FundRequest is a marketplace that brings free software companies and projects together with free software developers. Talented and enthusiastic software developers can work anywhere in the world, from Aydın, Erzurum or Ankara via the FundRequest platform, from China to the US in different geographical areas. The best part is that these studies are registered on the blockbinary. In this case, an extremely transparent and reliable working relationship can emerge. Because until now software developers have been able to contribute to different projects abroad, but problems have arisen in payments and other issues. FundRequest has removed this problem by default with the blockbuster technology. FundRequest a few months ago Mustafa Akgül 9. He wanted to support the Free Software Summer Camp and provided this support as a sponsor of the camp. I also had the opportunity to speak with this magnificent grub on Saturday we passed.
In Turkey, a supporter of the free software movement, free software support platform fundrequest out with the mission of our country, but also active and diligent in universities free software ambassadors / leaders are looking for. Interested young friends can reach the FundRequest directly on this issue. I am also ready to show the support that comes from this matter.
The stars of this period and forthcoming periods will emerge from the netizens. These people write and write programs that make our lives easier and lead to a better quality of life.
Here the digital economy will rise on the shoulders of these comics!
