Bu foto-not dizisinde tabanvay kuvvetiyle geçtiğim yerlerden aklımda ve kameramda kalan yerleri paylaşacağım. Seri, gördüğüm yerleri tanıtmaktan ziyade, çektiğim fotoğraflar ve bende bıraktığı etkiler üzerine olacak. Gelsin Panthèon notları.

Pantheon, Paris'te Quartier Latin bölgesinde yer alan 1789 da inşa edilmiş önemli bir yapı. Zamanın kralı tarafından şehrin koruyucu azisesine ithafen yaptırılmış. Önceleri kilise olarak kullanılmış fakat Fransız Devrimi sonrasında entelektüellerin gömüldüğü bir anıt mezar olarak varlığını sürdürmüş. Bizdeki Karacahmet veya Zincirlikuyu mezarlığı gibi. Gerçi bizdekiler anıt mezar değil ama anladınız onu. Aslında buraya tamamen bir anıt mezar demek doğru olmaz. Yapının Kripta bölümü bu şekilde kullanılıyor. Burada ebedi uyku çeken isimler arasında Voltaire , Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Panthéon'un mimarı, Victor Hugo, Émile Zola, Pierre Curie, Marie Curie, Alexandre Dumas ve daha nice koç yiğitler bulunmaktadır.

Dünya Dönüyor Sen Ne Dersen De

Gelelim beni en çok etkileyen kısma. Jean Bernard Léon Foucault isimli zeki bir bilim insanı bütün Parislileri ''Gelin lan, manyak bişi denicem'' diyerek Pantheon'a topladı. Panthéon’un kubbesinin ortasına, 67 metre uzunluğunda zemine kadar uzanan çelik bir tele asılı 28 kg ağırlığında demir bir top bağlamıştı ve zemine de incecik bir kum tabakası serilmişti. Topun altındaki sivri uç kum zeminde iz bırakarak salınım hareketini kaydetmiş olacaktı. Eğer salınım düzlemi zamanla değişirse, bu devasa sarkaç dünyanın döndüğünün kanlı canlı ilk kanıtı olacaktı. Deney başlarında herkes ''Hacı, bişey olduğu yok. Ortada bi top var. Öööyle gidip geliyür'' diye söylenirken yaklaşık bir saat sonra ilk emareler görülmeye başlandı. 32 saat sonra ise kum üzerindeki şekil kusursuz bir daireye dönüştü. Vay canına sayın seyirciler!
Dünya gerçekten dönüyordu! O zamanlar aslında herkes dünyanın döndüğünü biliyordu ama Foucault denen çılgın herif bunun ispatını dünyada ilk kez herkesin gözü önünde yapmıştı. Deney Avrupa'nın birçok yerinde tekrarlandı ve doğruluğu diğer bilim insanlarınca da onaylandı.

Pantheon işte bu yüzden bu kadar etkiledi beni. Dünya hala dönüyordu. Bir zamanlar dümdüz olan dünya. Güneşin bile onun etrafında döndüğü sanılan dünya. Ancak dünya, sadece dönmüyordu. Bir yandan da değişiyordu... Fotoğrafı çekerken bunları düşündüm. Kulağımda ise Nilüfer vardı:

The Pantheon is an important building built in 1789 in Quartier Latin in Paris. It was commissioned by the king at the time, dedicated to the patroness of the city. The front was used as a church, but after the French Revolution continued its existence as a monumental tomb buried with intellectuals. It's like the Karacahmet or Zincirlikuyu graveyard in Turkey. Actually, it would not be right to say it's a monumental tomb. This is how the Kripto part include. Among the names enduring sleep here are Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the architect of Panthéon, Victor Hugo, Émile Zola, Pierre Curie, Marie Curie, Alexandre Dumas and more.

The World is Rotating

Let me come to the part that affects me the most. Jean Bernard Léon Foucault named a clever scientist named Pantheon to all the Parisians, saying, "Come on, I'm gonna try something crayz." In the center of Panthéon's dome, a 28-kilogram iron ball hung on a steel wire extending to a depth of 67 meters, and a thin layer of sand was laid on the floor. The pointed tip under the cannon would have recorded the swing motion leaving a trace on the sand bed. If the plane of oscillation changes over time, this gigantic pendulum would be the first evidence returning to the world. At the beginning of the experiment everyone said, "We don't see anything. There's just a ball in the middle.'' After about an hour while he was saying "come and go," the first signs began to appear. After 32 hours, the shape on the sand turned into a perfect circle. Wow, watchers!
The world was really turning! At that time everyone knew the world was returning, but the crazy guy called Foucault had proved it for the first time in the world. The experiment was repeated in Europe and its validity was confirmed by other scientists.

That's why the Pantheon influenced me so much. The world was still turning. A world that was once thought to be flat. But the world just did not turn around. On the other hand it changed... I thought about these when I took the photo...
