The Hottest Toys For Christmas 2017

It's almost that time of year again and while I do enjoy the holiday season, it can become very stressful when hunting down those popular and elusive toys.

Last year we saw how the demand for Hatchimals made it almost impossible to find and drove up the prices on ebay to ridiculous amounts as Christmas neared.  

This year it may be a good idea to start hunting down these toys early to give yourself a better chance at getting one.

The Hot Toy Christmas List of 2017:

1. Classic Super Nintendo System.  Who would have known that the SNES would rise again in popularity.  Not convinced?  Try buying one and you will see that how hard these are to find.  While the retail price is only $79.95, the average price sold on ebay is almost double that.  The surprising thing is we are so far out from Christmas.  Expect the price to only soar higher as Christmas nears.
2. Nintendo Switch.  While these were very hard to find only weeks ago, the stores are beginning to have them on store shelves for more than just a few hours.  They are still a bit limited in number depending on where in the country you are and still sell for a premium on ebay.
3. Fingerlings.  These cute little monkeys cling to your finger and respond to sounds, motion and touch.  They blink, turn their head and talk in response.  They are available in several different colors.  These are already sold out online, but you may be able to snag them in store.  The price is $14.99 and of course ebay sellers are selling them at a premium, many over $25 have been sold with the rare white one selling for $50.
4. Hatchimals Surprise Twins.  They are back again.  This time there are twins inside.  You can interact and watch them grow.  Now these are not as hard to find as the other toys on this list, but that could change as Christmas nears.  The manufacture may have learned from last year just how popular these are.
5. LuvaBella Baby Doll.  Some are touting this as the new Hatchimal and these are already hard to find.  LuvaBella moves, talks and plays like a real baby.  The more you interact with her the more she learns.  You would think at a price of $100 they would be easier to find, but they have been sold out at most stores.  

With the exception of the Hatchimals, the toys here are fairly hard to find even at this time in the year.  Unless you are willing to pay a premium on ebay or craigslist, you will need to constantly be calling ahead to stores to find out if they have stock.  Starting now will give a much better chance then waiting until after Thanksgiving.
