Is "I want to see the world" suitable for a middle-aged person with a family?steemCreated with Sketch.

It's not easy to say "I want to see the world". It's not easy to travel the world on a shoestring with no money. Even if you could beg for food, you would still need to adapt to different languages, cultures, customs and places, which is not easy for ordinary people. Therefore, there are actually conditions for "I want to go and see".

Firstly, there are financial conditions. If you are a person who has the financial means to do so now, then you will be able to visit, travel and study cultures in various parts of the world, regardless of whether you speak the rest of the world or not, if you have the money.

Secondly, the language condition. I have the courage to go to all parts of the world because I know that any area that is combined with tourism, culture, education and food must be English speaking. So even though I only speak English apart from Chinese, it is enough to help me travel halfway around the world. Of course, there were times when I encountered obstacles, such as speaking English in Brazil, which most of the local people did not understand, but I was still able to meet people who spoke English.

Finally, the understanding of the local culture. If you don't know anything about the area, "I want to see it" is just a wasted trip. If you have an understanding, you are examining the history of the local culture and integrating it. In doing so, you will be inspired to think about new things and gain much more.

At the same time, if you want to keep the passion of "the world is so big, I want to see it", you have to have the mentality that "nothing can stop me from wanting to see the world". For the average person, the process of going out into the world is bound to encounter various obstacles, such as money, culture, location, as well as uncomfortable food and difficult natural conditions. If you retreat when you encounter obstacles, you are bound to go back to the original state where you feel more comfortable.

When one stays in one's more preferred comfort zone, one may never break through to the future. If you dare to step out of your comfort zone and develop a sense of "the more dangerous the future is, the more you move forward", it becomes relatively easy to say "I want to go and see".

Today, China is connected to the rest of the world, its currencies are intertwined and its economic ties are getting closer and closer, so going global is a necessity. By going global, we can on the one hand spread Chinese culture, knowledge and customs, and on the other hand absorb the culture, knowledge and customs of the world.

For example, Chinese people like to speak loudly, which often offends some people in the West. At the same time, many people in the West have discovered that it is not really an offence for the Chinese to speak loudly, it is their way of life. In the future, the Chinese people will know that they do not have to speak so loudly, and the Western people will understand the loudness of the Chinese people, reaching a point of mutual understanding and appreciation.

It is certainly appropriate for middle-aged people to travel with their families in tow. Travelling does not have to be extravagant, it has to be after a successful career. If we have the money, we can travel upmarket, but if we don't, we can travel poorly, stay in cheap hostels and book cheap flights. There is no notion that I can't go see the world again because I have a family with me.

If you have to wait until your children go to university and your middle-aged self becomes an older person before you can travel at your own pace because you are middle-aged and not fit to drag your family around, how do you know you will do it when you become an older person? Never wait. We can still go and see the world under the toughest of conditions. The worst thing one can do is to set a limit on oneself, thinking that one is middle-aged and has taken on so many responsibilities and obligations that one cannot travel.

A lot of the good things in life are lost in the mindset that "you can't do something in the state you're in". That's why I believe that travelling with a family is not a chore, but a blessing. When you go through the hardships of travelling with your children, without money or even food, the foundation of your family growing up together is better strengthened and you can raise children who are more courageous in the future.

A person's life is a process of releasing the constraints of the outside world and letting go of the inner world. Sometimes we really can't act because of external constraints such as lack of money, busy work schedules, family constraints or national policies. In such cases, we may not be able to do what we want to do fully, and at that point we need to be patient and work hard to break through. But in many cases, we think we can't do it because of the limitations of our inner world, only to find out in our old age that it is too late.

Letting go of our inner world allows it to connect with the outside world and become more expansive. At the same time, it also allows our inner spiritual world and our ability to conquer in the face of the outside world to develop together, so that life can reach a better and broader realm.
