Ethereum Battles Bitcoin! Who will win???
Can Ethereum Top Bitcoin?
Ethereum, up 5000% since the beginning of the year, is challenging Bitcoin for the #1 coin in crypto. If Ethereum was able to surpass Bitcoin it would be the first time in history where Bitcoin was not the largest cryptocurrency. Although Bitcoin's gains of around 300% since the beginning of the year are insane compared to the NASDAQ, it's gains are nothing compared to Ethereum's. And you can see that in the Bitcoin Dominance Index. Today, for the first time, Bitcoin dropped below 40% dominance. Behind it, Ethereum represents around 32% of the entire crypto-sphere. Considering the negative trend in the Bitcoin Dominance Index, it appears that Ethereum will surpass Bitcoin at some point. But if that is the case, will other coins do the same? Will Ripple, Nem and Dash surpass Bitcoin as well? At this point there is a long road ahead of them, but for Ethereum, first place is well within reach.

They "win" by having more widespread actual adoption instead of just speculation!
I wrote a similar article today about this. All evidence points towards ETH surpassing BTC in dominance. I still think it will not hurt BTC from rising to eventually 6 to 7 figures over time. The two really do not compete with each other. I have both as part of my diverse crypto portfolio.
