Top 5 tv shows you should definitely watch
I've been watching a lot of movies, tv shows, and cartoons mostly all my life, and I always thought about creating some myself, but until then, I'm just gonna' make a list with some of the best tv shows out there. Keep in mind that there are a lot more than 5 good tv shows, but If I were to talk about all of them, I might as well be writing a novel. So here goes:
5. Entourage 2004-2011
Set in L.A, this hollywoodian show gives us the story about a group of childhood friends who grew up together in Queens and ended up living together thanks to the success of one of them: Vincent Chase -the movie star. He's got a big brother: Johnny Chase (Drama) who's also an actor, but he isn't that famous. Vince's manager, Eric (E) is also a childhood friend, and there remains Turtle who's mostly the designated driver, sneaker enthusiast, and a pothead all around. But the greatest one of them is Ari Gold, who's Vince's agent. Anyway, there's no main plotline. There are mini adventure in which the boys put themselves in dramatic or comedic situations. Just to give you an example, there's one particular episode in which they drive to a desert with Eric Roberts in order to eat 'shrooms and obtain an answer about something i'm not gonna' give away. Oh, and one more thing. The show's got a plethora of celebrity cameos.
4. Prison Break 2005-2017
We all love a good break-out story. Prison break is just that, at least for the first 2 seasons. The story of a man who must set free his falsely imprisoned brother who's facing a death sentence. He gets himself arrested after stealing the blueprints of the prison, and tattooing them all over his body. It's full of tense moments, camaraderie, and well written characters. It's one of those shows that just keep you on the edge with almost every episode ending with a cliffhanger.
3.Daredevil 2015 -
By now, I thing everyone knows the story of the blind lawyer also known as The Devil of Hell's Kitchen. Matt Murdock is basically a blind vigilante that keeps his city safe from all sorts of criminals. The show has a dark tone, but still manages to offer a few laughs here and there. It's action packed with fight scenes that seemed to be made for the big screen. All I can say is if you never heard of it by now, you should look it up on Netflix. I can't wait for the next season.
2.Dexter 2006-2013
I know, I know. It has one of the most disappointing endings for a tv show, but still. It's not about the destination, it's about the journey. And I can tell you this: the show offers one hell of a ride. Dexter Morgan is a blood spatter analyst by day, and a serial killer by night. But there's a catch, he only kills bad guys, so that makes him somewhat of a hero. Nonetheless, he has a problem, a killing addiction if you may. He went through a tragedy when he was just a little kid. It changed him forever. Anyway, I love the presentation of the show. Dexter is a charming character. We, the audience are treated to his finest inner monologues and funny bits. His routine is almost hypnotic. The real reason why I enjoy this show so much is because it makes us feel empathy for a serial killer.
1.Breaking Bad 2008-2013
Ok. This is the tv show of tv shows. The amount of work that went in making this tv show, from the great writing, to the even greater acting for me is almost humanly impossible. But they managed to make it work. The plot is as simple as it gets. Walter White, a chemistry teacher just turned 50. He is diagnosed with lung cancer. In order to provide for his familly, before he kicks the bucket he decides to cook crystal meth. Because he knows his chemistry so well, he cooks the best product money can buy. From family man to drug lord, we get to see Walt's journey on becoming one of the most complex characters in a tv show ever. 10/10. A must watch for every tv show fan out there. If you haven't seen it yet, what are you waiting for?
