Calling All Tool Nerds! WTF Is This? - #9

in #tools5 years ago

The organization goes on and on and on!

Getting everything in its place requires to ideally know
what the things are that one is attempting to organize!

I'm clueless on some of these things and would appreciate your assistance.
Do you know WTF this is?

This seems like something that had a specific use,
a part or a piece of something bigger.

If you recognize this,
please tell me:

1.  what it is--please be specific--I don't know about these things!

2.  what it's intended to be used for

3.  if it still looks useable for its original purpose

4.  alternative ideas on how to use it.

I will be super grateful for your input in finally
deciphering if it is something worth keeping
and putting in its place,
or something worth letting go.

Check out my past posts and see if you have ideas about these items too.

WTF Is This? #1  We still don't know what this is!  Can you help?
WTF Is This?  #2  I believe we have a consensus on this one!  See what it is!
WTF Is This? #3  Likely a car part - transmission or drive shaft?
WTF Is This? #4  Nobody seems to have any idea what this is!
WTF Is This? #5   Lots of ideas on this one--a pulley, drill bit, craft rolling pin, torque limiter...
WTF Is This? #6  It's been suggested a roller for a sliding door, an adjustable bearing..
WTF Is This? #7  This one has stumped everyone too!
WTF Is This? #8  Many highly potential guesses made for this one!

Come back soon for  WTF Is This? - #10

Sort:

It looks like some kind of bracket to attach something.
It looks like it has some kind of dampening on the one hole, which would suggest that it's something like @duncan40 suggests, a bracket from some part of a car.

Agreed. It seems that is the general consensus! Thanks for your input @geekpowered.

first off it looks familiar, so I kick myself for not being able to nail it down completely. could it be a piece of the inner assembly of the rear brakes on a ford mustang! I say that because it is soo familiar and my experience is mostly based on restoring a 1967 mustang coupe.

You would be way closer to confirming that than me, @duncan40! It could definitely be that. So funny how something can be so familiar, and still we are not clear. Thanks for giving me your opinion. Maybe someone else will have a little more input here.
