My journey using @tipU for STEEM investing

in #tipu3 years ago

As with many users I was using minnow booster for investing my STEEM to try to make some profit. During the 2018 crypto crash I just left my STEEM to languish and got so busy that I totally forgot about it. Come early 2020 in the early period of the global Covid pandemic, I decided to pull up my old crypto accounts and see what was left.

I quickly found out that minnow booster was gone and my STEEM that was delegated were just sitting there not doing anything, so I started researching options to increase my holdings. I started using @dlease (https://steem.dlease.io/) with pretty good results and have been doing that for over a year or so. The other night I was looking at what to do with my 17 SP that were not delegated, and was not happy with the market rate at @dlease so I started looking at options. I found a few that looked a little shady, but found @tipU (https://tipu.online/) and it looked interesting. Figuring that the 17 SP was only worth < $10 I figured I would give it a shot and see if the returns were better than I was getting in @dlease, which is averaging 32.43% apr.

After just a few days I have been impressed with the results from @tipU and decided to start posting to give information to anyone thinking of investing. I will be posting screen shots and updated results regularly and after a month or so will do a more thorough return analysis to determine performance. I will be reinvesting 100% of my @dlease and @tipU payouts to increase the possible returns.

My @tipU settings:

I kept the defaults except for the Auto Reinvest. I first thought this would delegate the profits, but all it does is power up the STEEM and SBD for me so I get an increase in SP in my wallet.

With my low delegation, I am not hitting the .001 SBD minimum for payouts in the 24 hours (the last 24 hours got me to 0.000981644 SBD), but wanted to keep it at one day for consistency sake. I figure that within a week I will have enough delegated to hit the .001 minimum.

My Results:

On the days where I do not get the SBD payout, the APR is around 32%, roughly the same as @dlease, but on the days where I receive SBD, the return is over 63%. Over time this will balance out and then as leases expire on @dlease I will have information on where best to reinvest.

Hope this information helps anyone looking into investing their STEEM to make a good return. I will continue to post regularly about my experience and results. Feel free to ask anything in the comments.

Try to set it to 100% pay in steem and reinvest in SP. I think is better than SBD and STEEM. Ofcourse, this is my opinion :)
