How To Identify Fake Download Buttons(Ads) At File Sharing Sites

There are a lot of annoying ads on file sharing sites which disguise themselves as download buttons.When you click them they redirect you to a different site instead of starting your download.Most of us are already know how to download from such sites.Solving a Captcha, choosing free user and waiting for 60 seconds for the download to start.

Sometimes multiple download buttons are shown and an inexperienced computer user may end up downloading something else to their computer which maybe contain viruses and all other kinds of harmful malware.

Below are tips to avoid clicking the fake download buttons:

The easiest way to make all these fake download buttons go away is to download an Adblock extension for your browser.Examples are  Adblock Plus , Adguard,Ublock Origin etc.They can be found in your browsers extension store and can be downloaded free of charge.After installing the extension and refreshing the page all the fake download button will disappear leaving out only the real ones.So you don't have to worry about downloading any malware from any ad site to your PC.

If you do not want to install any browser extension all what you have to do is right click the download button which ypu find suspicious.  If you see  “About Adobe Flash Player” or “Save Image As” in the context menu then there is a high probability that it's a fake download button
