A Little Introduction to Me
My name is Jordan. I am a 32-year-old disabled US Army combat veteran, husband of 15 years and father of seven children. I first got into digital currency as a means to generate passive income to supplement my VA disability and Social Security benefits, as it is quite difficult to live on a fixed income while raising as many kids as I have.
As I began exploring the world of passive income through cryptocurrency investing, I began to notice a depressing lack of available information regarding reliable platforms through which one might earn safely at little or no cost. Sure, there are some useful resources out there, but not many, and those that do exist are so cluttered with ads and dead ends that they become very difficult to navigate. So, I decided that, rather than simply pointing out and complaining about a problem, I would take steps to fix it.
I created my own website, ProvenPassive.com, where I share legitimate, proven trustworthy platforms to earn passive fiat and crypto income on PC and mobile devices. My site is free to use, free to join, and best of all, hosts no ads. The only monetization I accomplish from Proven Passive is that, whenever possible, the links provided are my personal affiliate/referral links. I try to focus my efforts on finding and sharing sites and apps that allow me to earn money from my referrals only if they participate and earn money themselves, as opposed to those sites which pay a commission based on referrals' purchases/investments. By doing this, and by not hosting ads, I hope to gain the trust of my users and avoid the stigma associated with Ponzi schemes.
Possibly the most ambitious aspect of Proven Passive, however, is SCARS. The Scam Compensation and Reimbursement Services fund is my pet project, created in response to an internet lousy with cryptocurrency/investment scams. Despite the fancy name, it is not an official or registered charity, though I do accept donations from users on the site. I chose not to make SCARS an official entity mostly because I don't care to deal with all the legal hurdles, namely tax regulations, one must jump to do such a thing. Instead, I created a dedicated PayPal account for the site to accept donations, as well as appropriately labeled addresses on my cold wallet for the same purpose. I realize this creates a perfectly reasonable amount of suspicion, so I post screenshots on the site's blog every time assets go into or out of any account associated with SCARS. My plan is to switch to weekly account updates once the total value of all SCARS accounts reaches $50,000 USD. So far, the suspicion appears to be proving a severe deterrent to donations, except from a handful of people whose scam losses I was able to pay back out of my own pocket or with my own $100 monthly deposit to the SCARS PayPal.
Okay, now that I have my sales pitch out of the way, back to me. I am a nerd of the highest caliber. I read sci-fi/fantasy (Brandon Sanderson!), I play almost every genre of video game you can think of and my movie collection looks like it should belong to a middle-aged man living in his mother's basement. I am and always will be a child at heart, which is handy when one has as many children as I do. Pillow forts and Nerf wars are a regular thing around this house.
I think that about covers the summary of my lifestyle. I'm looking forward to engaging the community. Oh, I almost forgot, I absolutely LOVE a good, friendly debate. I have an atheist friend with whom I regularly hone my argumentative skills, as we tend to have differing opinions on many issues, or at least how they might best be solved.
