Looking for a tipbot developer!
Hey everyone, so I've been having this idea for quite a while and I need some help to turn it into reality.
I want a tipbot that will be able to tip Steem to users outside of the Steem platform/blockchain.
The basic functions I have in mind are these:
Let's say I'm on Reddit and stumble upon a great submission or comment I want to tip some Steem to. The receiving user will probably not have a Steem account, so here is what the bot needs to be able to do.
I comment with a tip to this user of 1 Steem.
The bot account replies to the user that 1 Steem has been tipped to him.
In private messages, the tipbot account sends this user a passphrase and some instructions on how to get a Steemit account.
The user, if interested enough to create the account to claim his tip will comment with this passphrase on a post of the tipbot here on Steem and that way receive his tip.
There would be a certain amount of time to claim the tip, say 1 month. Under that time the funds that have been already tipped won't be able to be re-tipped unless the Steem user has loaded up more Steem onto the tipping account.
This should be a tip bot that any Steem user can use.
Reddit is the only site I know this method could work in so far, as Twitter for instance won't always allow you to send private messages to other users.
Let me know your thoughts about this and if there are any better ways you could think of to program this bot.

Because these resteem bots and tip bots already here. (And I dont get the inhouse tip bot.... If I want to tip here, it is super easy from my wallet)
but YOUR idea is brilliant!!! This could really be a great way to bring quality people to the steemit platform!
You are out on YouTube, or a blog, or facebook or reddit and see someone that has consistently put out great content......would be perfect to tip them and bring them over to enhance the steemit platform!!!

Yeah I've been thinking of ways to spice up the use for the r/steemit subreddit and maybe find the time to use Reddit itself a bit again considering all my time is going to Steemit lately. ^^

If you are bringing over top shelf people, it would be a good excuse for 'bar hopping' outside of steemit for a bit!
But maybe wait for the ddos or glitch shit to get sorted out first... I feel like users brand new right now probably think steemit is a f'n joke because of the uv and post and comment error problems.
Maybe the bot can let them know of the other front-ends that exist. ;)

And maybe at Steemfest STINC will rollout a fix and upgrade for all parts of steemit proper. A guy can hope anyway...right!?

Wow, this is a great marketing tactic not only to get some extra followers within short time but also to bring new users to Steemit. This idea will break thousands of users to Steemit Blockchain. Thats a great idea to attract people to steemit. Reddit users can be lured, I am sure to join steemit. The quality of the site, too would increase, not that it isnot already. Best of luck and I hope you get the best person and that it becomes successful
This is possible idea in the block chain platform. This is away to increase new members and followers. then after its valuable system can be. Social media like as twitter and facebook will be beat from this blockchain.

Hi @acidyo, hope you're doing good. Your idea is amazingly Superb to attract maximum people towards steemit. No doubt a mind blowing idea and 100% workable. I have couple of friends who are developers and working since last 7-10 years. They are too busy in developing various things for their clients. i think you should contact @biophil he made a good work with #pocket and i believe that his confirmation bot @pocket-pi with some additional work of course will do the work ;) good luck @acidyo
