RE: Making Plant Health Tinctures

in #tinctures7 years ago

Interesting. I wonder how well this would work with the ornamental herb Cuban Oregano. It's a tropical plant used in many countries in a variety of ways, from an antiseptic to brewed in tea. I have a ton potted since you can just stuff a clipping in dirt and it grows a new plant.

Sort:

Cuban Oregano is one of my favorite, one of the best antiviral....I recommend the tea for its health properties, 2 crunch leaves in hot steamy water, brew 8-10 minutes and drink as needed. Yes it will work as a tincture, and because the alcohol extracts more of the plant therapeutic properties than any other method, it is more effective. It will also ferment with time, making the tincture more potent. Also great to place around 30-40 drops of the tincture in a spray bottle with water and spray in home & sick rooms....thanks for asking :)

Oh, I'm definitely checking that out! Thanks a bunch, you just got a new follower. When you say 2 crunch leaves, you mean crunch them into pieces or use leaves that are dead and dry (crunchy)?

Thanks for following :)... just crunch (once or twice is enough) fresh leaf in your hands and place in cup. The properties of any herb is activated the moment its cut or crunch...enjoy.....can be drank as prevention during flu season :)...many thanks :)..great health 2U:)

Forgot to mention, you can also use the Cuban Oregano Tincture, a few drops to spice up your cooking...
