ok. dont laugh..promise. I recall batteries being that price and even though I sewed a few of my own things I never made that outfit, but I swore I wore one like it. Good God and I thought I looked very posh. Ah and yes those cartoons ..who can forget Lil Abner. oh shit you are dating me or I am dating myself. Assuming now we are talking March 1971. That year I turned sweet sixteen. Got my first real job. In a Diner. Rod Stewarts Maggie May was the hit and Carol King was on the Top 100. Hot pants were cool to wear and I might have been stopped by the cops for necking in the car in a park. Funny they never did find the mickey in my purse. lol

Yes, I remember the days where you could get away with a little mischief and it wasn't so bad. It was kinda fun ☺ and usually it was no harm done. Contrast that with what we have today: You can't get away with a damn thing anymore! Not sayin life is bad in today's world, just super different.
oh my your too kind. back then ..well yes maybe..I call that time BL and BK. Before Life and Before Kids. Well all I thought about was guys and the beach and what song was on the top 100. Lol oh and did I get that Mickey of Gin for my purse. lol. :)))
