What time is it over there? / ¿Qué hora es allá?
Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by how dissimilar the distribution of meridians and 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙯𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨, and it is evident that this is the case since countries require their populations to adhere to an agreed schedule so that operations and services match. /// Desde pequeño me ha resultado fascinante lo disímiles que resultan ser la distribución de los meridianos y la de los husos horarios, y es evidente que sea así ya que los países requieren que su población se ciña por un horario convenido para que las operaciones y servicios concuerden.
In theory, 24 time zones would result from dividing the planet into each of the different hours of the day. Ideally, those 15 degrees of latitude would make it possible to distribute the timetable more easily, but the matter is not so easy. /// En teoría, 24 husos horarios resultarían de dividir el planeta en cada una de las distintas horas del día.
