Pausing time?

I’ve always wondered if we could use gravitational time dilation to pause time, like some kind of cryopreservation.

Sadly we soak up a lot of bad radiation apparently, also radiation wavelengths that are not damaging now, would turn vicious.

So what if we build a small, controlled black hole, gravitational well that's so intense, time would pass more slowly for anyone around. Perhaps these black holes could be placed in the middle residential units with people wishing to slow down time for them. The closer to the hole, the higher the rent!

It could be a way to leap into a future where medicine and technology have advanced enough to cure aging and disease. Skip ads until the medical singularity.
