Journal Log Entry # 2: Time Regulator
Everyday we spend our lives by means of time.
First thing in the morning as you wake up, you check the clock to tell you how much time left in your preparation before going to work or school.
Middle of the day, you are starting to feel hungry while thinking “How soon can I finish these deadlines? I’m starving.” Or “When will my professor finish his lecture? I want to eat sisig.”
And as the day ends you are drained and tired you just want to lay on your bed, fall asleep and hoping to recharge for the next day.
A few examples of how our life is on a daily basis. Everyone of us is caught in a loop, a time loop, if you will. A state wherein people are preoccupied every hour of their day, doing the same things over and over again. There is no one to blame, we all have our duties and responsibilities.
Ever wondered how you can escape this repeating chain of events?
In Physics, time is one of the most powerful forces known and some aspects of it are still undiscovered. Seconds is the basic unit of time, it can be converted into minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years or in a minute scale, milliseconds.
The formula of time: time (t) = distance (d)/speed (s)
In general, to achieve a less time consumed one must be very fast while finishing multiple tasks it is efficient to complete one task at a time. Application of this formula in life will give you better performance and greater efficiency.
One day, an engineering graduate wakes up late because of studying overnight. He prepares and goes on his way to take the licensure examination with 2 hours left, as the heavy traffic consumes time, the student thinks of a solution while remembering the formula of time.
*It is given that the location of the examination venue has a distance of 60 kilometers.
*The speed of the vehicles on the heavy traffic has a rate of 20 kilometers per hour.
*The student suggests to the driver an alternate route, which has a longer distance of 75 kilometers but less traffic and vehicles can speed up to 50 kilometers per hour.
After choosing the alternate route, it only took a total of 1.5 hours for the whole trip while the original route takes up to 3 hours. Good thing he recalls another route, he is 30 minutes earlier with a plenty of time to prepare for the exam.
Understanding more of time, it does take time too.
Our duties and responsibilities in life has its own pace, we almost forget to set aside time for ourselves because of a busy schedule and with this it might take a toll on us in the long run.
Time management is the key to finding the neglected hours of our life.
Save an hour or at least 30 minutes a day to do something aside from work and study. Believe me it will change you and make you better than the same routine you were on repeat.
*Exercise or train your physique, it will boost your energy and a great way to start your day.
*Find a hobby or start what piques your interest the most, draw an animated character, collect limited edition of toys, learn how to assemble things, travel to a new place, anything that will inspire yourself to grow and be better than you were.
*Meditate, find a relaxing place with no distractions, close your eyes and relax. Forget all the worries and focus on yourself, visualize what you want in life and think of all the possibilities. Focus on these thoughts one at a time, believe in yourself and one day all your goals and dreams will come true.
Find your purpose and the rest will follow.
Regulate your own time.
Cherish each moments and live life to the fullest.
You are just in time.
