For several decades now, time travel has been a central plot device of science fiction novels, television shows, and movies. The 1895 novel called The Time Machine by H. G. Wells pioneered the use of time travel in literature, shows, and movies by the main character using a time machine to travel back and forth through time. In addition, this book has been spun into several movies television shows and even comic books. Later science fiction works, like the 1960's television show Doctor Who and the 1980's film Back To The Future probably wouldn't exist without H. G. Well's novel. Moreover, while many people will dismiss time travel as nothing more than a science fiction trope, there is actually an overwhelming amount of evidence to prove that is happening all around us everyday. In this article, I will give you the top 10 examples that prove time travel is a real thing.
Cellphone in the 1920's

In the 1928 Charlie Chaplin film The Circus, a woman can be found walking while talking on a cell phone. The only problem is cell phones weren't released into the market until 1983. This is a clear indication of time travel. How did a 1920's woman get a cellphone several decades before they were officially released to the general public? Could this woman be a secret government agent sent back in time to change history? Or was she an aspiring actress sent from the future to make a cameo in a film? We may never know, but the video clip certainly has many people searching for the truth. The eerie clip was originally brought to light in the year 2010 by film expert George Clark , who owned a Charlie Chaplin box set at the time. Moreover, according to George Clark, he has shown the clip to several different individuals and he has still not found a logical argument to explain this bizarre occurrence. Still to this day, the time travelling woman spotted in the Charlie Chaplin film remains an unsolved mystery.
Mandela Effect
Have you ever remembered an event one way, but later found out you got the details completely wrong? If so, you're not alone. In recent years, a psychological phenomenon known as the Mandela affect has taken the internet by storm. With millions of people sharing stories of remembering events and scenarios that never materialized in reality, this has led to many people coming up with their own theories involving parallel universes, alternate realities, and time travel. Time travelers altering the timeline of history could be a plausible explanation for people misremembering key historical events throughout history. For example, the woman who coined the term Mandela affect, Fiona Broome, vividly remembers seeing news reports about the death of Nelson Mandela in the 80's, despite the fact that Mandela actually died in 2013. Furthermore, Broome is not the only one who remembers hearing about Mandela's death in the 80's. Several other people corroborate her story of Mandela dying in prison sometime in the 1980's. Could a time traveler have saved Mandela from dying and somehow Broome and many others still had memories of the altered event in their brain? We may never know.

Archaeologist have found several ancient artifacts that did not match up with the time period they are linked to. Everything from ancient batteries, hammers, and nuclear reactors have been discovered over the course of the past several decades. In the year 1934, a hammer was found in Texas completely engulfed by a stone that was estimated to be over a 100 years old. The thing is human civilization has only been around for several thousand years, so how was this hammer created without humans being around? In 1938, batteries from 2,000 years ago were found to be capable of generating electricity. The problem with that is that first battery wasn't created until 1799 by a physicist named Alessandro Volta. In the year 1972, a factory in France got uranium from an African nuclear reactor that is believed to be over a billion years old. How was a nuclear reactor built before human civilization existed? All these stories point to time travelers leaving behind advanced technology.
Time Travelling Celebrities
There are several modern celebrities who look exactly like people who existed several decades. Some notable examples include Queen Latifah, Orlando Bloom, Jay Z, Nicholas Cage, and Justin Timberlake. First, Queen Latifah looks eerily similar to popular early 1900's author Zora Neale Hurston. Second, Orlando Bloom shares a striking resemblance to 19th century painter Nicolae Grigorescu. Third, Jay Z and an unidentified man from a picture in 1939 look like twins. Fourth, Nicholas Cage looks very identical to an unknown man from the Civil War era. Fifth, Justin Timberlake and a criminal pictured from a bygone era can't be told apart. The fact that there is so many celebrities who look exactly like people from decades and centuries ago, lends credence to the theory of time travel
Palace of Versailles Mystery
On August 10, 1901, Eleanor Jourdain and Charlotte Anne Moberly claimed to have encountered and hung out with former Queen of France Marie Antoinette while visiting the Palace of Versailles in France. The only problem is Marie Antoinette died October 16, 1793. The two women Eleanor Jourdain and Charlotte Anne Moberly reportedly got lost in Versailles, that is when they came in contact with several individuals that were wearing old fashioned clothes, and one of those individuals happened to be Marie Antoinette. In addition, both women remember feeling and seeing their surroundings turn into a lifeless and unpleasant environment. Later on, the two women wrote a book recounting their creepy and weird experience. Their book was met with widespread ridicule and criticism. Many people believed the story was either a hallucination, false, or supernatural. Eleanor Jourdain and Charlotte Anne Moberly believed they travelled back in time on that fateful day in 1901. These two women's stories are a compelling piece of evidence that strengthens the possibility of time travel existing.

World War 2 Time Slip

In the middle of World War 2, a Royal Air Force commander named Sir Robert Victor Goddard experienced a truly bizarre event. While Goddard was flying over the old Royal Air Force station, everything suddenly changed around him. The weather quickly went from rainy to sunny. The old Royal Air Force station was back up and running normally, and Goddard spotted several mechanics in blue uniforms on the runway next to planes that were painted yellow. After viewing what he saw in disbelief, he decided to fly back home and keep his time travelling experience to himself. Moreover, four years after this incident occurred, the Royal Air Force coincidently made all the mechanic's uniforms the color blue and switched all the plane's colors to yellow. Goddard's story would later be featured in a book by JH Brennan called Time Travel: A New Perspective. This story along with a long list of others help to validate the theory of time travel.

Montauk Project
Allegedly, the United States government conducted several time travel and psychological related experiments at the Montauk Air Force station located in Long Island. In the early 80's, is when rumors about the Montauk Project started to surface and become a talking point amongst the masses. This rumors and allegations stemmed from a man named Preston Nichols claiming to have suppressed memories of being involved with the Montauk Project experiments. Preston Nichols would go on to write several books detailing the activities he allegedly viewed at the Montauk Air Force station. Nichols book accused the United States government of faking moon landings, interacting with aliens, experimenting with mind control, and studying mind control. In addition, Nichols role at the Montauk Air Force remain murky at best with some sources saying he was forced to be their against his will and other sources claiming he worked there. This story is one of many alleged government cover ups, but it also gives credibility to the idea of time travel being a real thing.

Fentz
Sometime in the 1950's, a man named Rudolph Fentz who was estimated to be around the age of 30 was reportedly hit and killed by a taxi driver. Interestingly enough, Fentz was wearing 1800's style clothing when he got ran over. When authorities got to the scene, they found several items in Fentz pockets including a bill, money, and a letter from the year 1876. Later on, a policeman eventually discovered that a man missing from 1876 fit the description of Rudolph Fentz. The story of Rudolph Fentz has been circulating amongst the public since the 70's, and many people believe it to be a strong example that proves time travel is a real thing.

The CD Conundrum
A painting from the 1800's shows a man named Joseph Smith holding a compact disc case while being surrounded by multiple men. The thing is compact disc weren't released into the market until the year 1982. So how did Joseph Smith get his hands on a compact disc case over a century before they were made? The only logical conclusion would be time travel. Three possible scenarios come to mind while analyzing this particular incident. First, Joseph Smith was given this compact disc case by a time traveler. Second, a time traveler was visiting the 1800's and left a compact disc case behind and Smith picked it up. Third, Joseph Smith is a time traveler himself. Whatever the real scenario is one thing is for certain, this is one of the strongest evidence of time travel to date.

Military Experiment
In October of 1943, the United States military allegedly did an experiment called the Philadelphia Experiment. The experiment was based around a scientific concept developed by Albert Einstein called the unified field theory. According to the unified field theory, you can bend space and time by bending light. This would essentially create an invisible time traveling vessel. Reportedly after the naval military conducted this experiment, their ship became temporarily invisible then the crew travelled several seconds back in time. Decades later, many military officials deny this experiment ever happening. Despite the denial, the stories and rumors circulating about this experiment remain strong to this very day. In addition, the United States military has a long history of conducting secretive experiments, that don't become known to general public until several decades after it happened. Overall, the Philadelphia Experiment is an intriguing example that strengthens the case for time travel being a real thing.
