Little Amsterdam in Cebu

It’s a nice feeling that you get the chance to visit and see beautiful places in your own country. It has always been my dream to travel and relax together with my family and see those eye capturing and heavenly places that I often read about on blogs, instagram, and of course facebook.

Last October 2017 (semestral break), my husband and I together with our son got this chance again. This is our second time to travel in a year but I will share with you our firsts some other time as I had difficulty constructing and making up another blog for that lol.
I had booked a flight ahead mid-June I think going to Cebu. I had read so many good feedbacks about the Queen City of the South, and as I’ve researched more I kept daydreaming that I will be able to visit all of them soon.

One of the places we visited then was Sirao Flower Garden or Little Amsterdam of the South.
It was called such because there are so many beautiful flowers that are blooming and captivating everyone’s attention just like in Amsterdam, Netherlands.It is one of Cebu’s tourist attraction situated at Cebu Transcentral Highway (Busay-Sirao-Balamban). We arrived there around 2pm Philippine Time and the weather is not that good. But hey! Can you not appreciate the beauty of these flowers even if it’s raining?

Entrance fee is just 50 pesos or $1 US Dollar per head. Children are free off charge. The place is really picturesque and instagrammable. You can really appreciate the beauty of nature as the place is located on top of the mountains. The place is under renovations when we were there, but according to some blogs that I’ve read it has now an infinity pool.

The best mode of transportation to get there is via car as the ride is a bit long. You can have a taxi, grab or uber or even car rental services to be able to visit the place but surely it’s a bit pricey. Better go there in group to save some bucks for travel expense.
Most backpackers and travelers rent motorcycles as it is the cheapest. As for us, I had booked with a car rental service for only 2000 Php for about 8-10 attractions for Cebu Countryside Tour. Still it’s way cheaper for me and I also prefer such for convenience.
If you have plans visiting Cebu, I can recommend you with the car rental service which we had booked with when we were there.
