Living with
Learning is a lifelong process and life has it own style to help you learn, and every step you take comes with great knowledge about character, attitude and motivation that is useful in our day to day struggle of life.
Allow me to bring you back to my college days, Living with my aunt is quite difficult, most of the time you can only asked but you can never demand, in terms of what you like to eat, in your sleeping time and even go out with friends without permission.
Living with your parent while studying is a privilege for you. Because parents do understand their child, give you what you wanted and you can be carefree sometimes because they loved you. Whatever you do, they’ll try to understand.
Don’t get me wrong of course we love our parents, and our aunties do loves us as well. The point is when your with your parents you can be who you are. Not like in your aunts house you need to be good all the time and even if your hurting or having a hard time you need to be okay, and then if your alone already, thats the only time you can burst your feelings and emotions. That is the reason why most of the time people tried to be alone.
When I am emotional I’d rather be alone than to be with people and friends that, not all, but sometimes insensitive and with an unstable character.
What I learned based on my experience is you can never judge someone by their actions at that moment, because you never know what they’ve been through before it happen.
The bottom line is when you have a choice to live with your parents while you are still studying grab and accept it. Because with your parents around, there is guidance and support, financial and moral. While living alone is prone to temptation and bad influences. Just a reminder and I quote “even when parents are there, without proper guidance and constant reminder some child still fall to the wrong ways and choices.
Presence is different from involvement.
To the parents, guide and remind your children always, give them time, the care and love they need in times of troubles and heartbreak. Be open to them, and assure them that he/she can count on you anytime, and you’re willing to listen to her/him whatever He/she is going through.
To the children, be transparent and vulnerable to your parents advice and reminders. For they only wanted what is best for you. No matter what and whatever your going through, share them to your parents because surely they will understand and accept you for who you are, because you are their child after all.
Be mindful and love make the most of the you have with them. Say I love you to them for we never know how long they are going to be here.
Truly we all have a lot of things learned about life, and we are still learning. Be grateful to every experience, good or bad we still have something to learn from it. That make us who we are today.
