RE: Big numbers in both directions -- Thrifting Electronics 8-24-2018

Glad you're seeing some racquets. They're really good money if you find the right models.

As for electronics, if I can't test something, or it's old (may have frail parts or broken belts inside), sell is "as is for parts/repair" at a discount. This will give you less revenue, but it'll secure the sale and prevent any losses.

Ask the buyer if they'll keep it for a large discount (try to cover your costs).

Sort:

In hindsight I should have seen if the owner of the item had an sacd before buying it. Saw $$$ for the item back at the start of this experience and only tested normal CDs.

Already checked they didn't want to keep it. Unfortunately it's cost more to get it returned then I'd make nothing. Was pricy shipping.

What is the best model raquet you've ever found?

Sold a brand new Head Radical Tour Agassi racquet for $220. Got for $16.

Also a Head Intelligence i.X11 racquet for $190. Got used for $9.

Some racquets go up to $250. The usual good suspects I pursue are in the $75-$150 range. I usually pay $5-$13 for them.
