RE: Interesting Facts about Mars
The ancient Greeks named the planet Mars after their god of war Ares, then the Romans did the same. Other cultures made links to the red colour and war association too. The red colour of the planet is visible in the night sky.
Mars is the 4th planet from the sun and sits between Earth and Jupiter. It is 78.3 million km further away from the sun than we are, making it a much colder planet.

There is ambiguity or difference we can say in Greek and Roman Gods. Most of them has the same meaning except Jupiter. In this case Greek and Roman are on same page and mention Mars as God of Battle or war. I am curious where this association of red color with war came into existence, this may be because color of Blood is Red. Mars is not cold all the time, its elliptical orbital path plays very important role shaping the weather on Mars. in Mars is also terrestrial planet, there are four terrestrial planet in our solar system referred as terrestrial planet, Mars is one of them. I think, I must create a separate video on this Topic. Thanks for stopping by, please stick around for more videos.
