  • Of course it is very useful that the Research Center increases the storage capacity now, because the limited capacity of my depots is one of the factors which are preventing me sometimes from upleveling skills or buildings.

  • The current level of my Research Center is 13. The game server seems to be down at the moment so that I cannot check it out to be 100 % sure, but I want to finish writing my comment now. :)

  • My impressing fleet consists of two or three explorers (sometimes one gets lost and then replaced again). :)
    [Now, as the game is running again, I could check it, and to my own surprise, crurrently I am owning 5 explorers altogether.]

  • No friends (just some very bad enemies), I have always been a lone wolf and still are. :-)



What could be possible improvements?

  • As I have NO friends at all, maybe a messaging system within the NextColony GUI would be interesting. So I could contact other users or beautiful alien girls which are flying past my planet without the need to open Discord all the time.

  • I think one should get a "huge red" warning message (within the GUI of the game! Not in Discord only; maybe combined with a sound, lol) if someone is approaching for attacking one's planet(s).

  • It would be nice if explorers could find other interesting objects/rewards apart from planets (just be creative, so I need not to name any examples). :-)

  • Furthermore I think it is important to protect small players (which normally should be the majority of players to guarantee the sucess of a game). I didn't think about how exactly that could be realized, but I am having some ideas:
    a) If there is a huge disbalance (determine a factor here!) concerning the fleet size of two possible opponents the stronger player should not be able to attack the weaker player more than X (it's on you to think about a suitable number for "X") times within a certain time frame (for example twice a week).
    b) If a defender knows that he is getting attacked soon, but has no possibility to defend himself, he should at least be able to stop his production (or would you like produce anything for the conqueror of your castle in a real war?) until the attack is over.

  • What about an overall ranking list of all players? Then small players like me could at least see how well they are doing compared to users of similar size ...
