Nature Photography Weekly Photography Challenge 51 | by @barski
Life is a wonderful thing that often surprises us and teaches us something new every day.
In search of this new people often went on long journeys wanting to find unknown places to see what nature hid from them.
This is how most discoveries were made.
Sometimes such discoveries can be made very close to your home in your own city.
Yes, as strange as it may seem but in most cities there are places where nature is rampant we pass by and do not notice it.
So many Jews who followed Moses through the desert did not notice the presence of God in their lives this happens today too.
One early frosty morning in the middle of a severe winter and that day the thermometer mark dropped almost twenty divisions below zero Celsius I armed myself with my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX300 camera and went to explore the banks of a tiny river flowing through our city and which looks unattractive for an explorer with ambitious plans lol.
I found a place to park my car in front of the sports grounds not far from the river bank and behind the mesh fence of the sports complex I saw dense thickets of trees where I went.
Snow and ice crunched under the trees and I was the only one who left my tracks there after the snowfall.
The trees without leaves looked sad but here and there near the stumps you could see glimpses of green vegetation the rotten wood gave off its heat and this contributed to the fact that oases of life appeared there.
And suddenly I saw something incredible it was a wonderful edible mushroom called Flammulina velutipes or velvet foot.
A little further going deeper into this small forest, I saw whole plantations of this mushroom that can be eaten without fear moreover this mushroom is considered to be of high quality and can be fried boiled dried marinated and dried.
The manna appeared in the morning it had to be collected and eaten that same day leaving nothing for tomorrow because worms started in the manna and it quickly spoiled... this is very similar to what I know about mushrooms.
And in essence mushrooms that can become food for a person throughout the year are definitely manna from heaven because if you know at least something about mushrooms you will not die of hunger even in the most difficult times.
This will be a selection of photographs taken by me with their peaceful editing to illustrate my story about the mercy of God the magnificence of his creation of nature and about the man who saw all this on a frosty morning.
