About the slider. You can't even get the slider until you've got about 500 SP.
When you've got 500, your upvotes is worth $0.15. So it would be beneficial to use the slider at that point. At 50% voting power, you deliver $0.08. Which is great cause my 265ish SP 100% VP delivers $0.08. Using the slider allows you to deliver more votes, yes at less $, but using it at 50% you should be bale to upvote 20 times. Much better!
Maybe elaborate on that, since minnows don't get the slider until they've got 500SP.
A great website to share also would be http://steemnow.com I find this to be the simplest and least confusing. It has the upvoting calculator also. It will tell you what your rep is and estimated earning payouts. Also who upvotes what, at what percentage.
@farmstead actually people have been using the slider through the eSteem app even with less SP than 500. AS for steemnow.com it is also a very good one. I just got used to the steemd.com site as I found it first. This was meant to be a welcome message with some very basic information. As it was it got longer than I intended. If your voting power goes to low it takes days to get back to 100%..
exactly @weetreebonsai that is why it is important to stick to the 10 votes per day so it will recharge before the next day.
