The Mystery of The Bible - 5 (Holiness 2)

Like I mentioned in the last episode that all the major misery of the Bible is holiness, I will be talking about what is required of us to meet up with the standard of God which is holiness.

Holiness is the requirement for reigning with God.

I will like you to read from the book of Colossians 3 but I will put down some of the passage out here and say a little about it. I will be picking the verses on after the other to speak on Holiness.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Colossians 3: 1-4 (KJV)

The first thing to do when you want to be holy is to be dead to sin and live in Christ. You have to be renewed both outside and within. Which means you have to be born again. To be born again means you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour and then you believe in His death and resurrection.
You are no longer a slave to sin but your life is hidden in Christ. Leaving behind the old ways and putting on the new man with a renewed mind. This does not come easily but with the determination of mind and aiming for a glorious end with Christ Jesus.

If you have not given your life to Christ, this is the right time to do so. Jesus loves you and wants to give you back your birthright which satan has stolen with deceit. Jesus loves you and he did not want you to suffer and perish but wants you to be liberated from sin and its consequences.
Give your life to Jesus now as tomorrow might be too late and once you do so, join a spirit filled with the Word of God church around you and tell them of your convert. they will teach you on what to do next and how to grow in spirit with the Word of God.
