Dwayne Johnson on Success
Dwayne Johnson has created success by being consistent and working hard even when it seemed impossible to get ahead. He went through hard times starting out. By being consistent he achieved success. This is the key. Doing the right thing consistently. If you're not getting the success you want, perhaps you need to change tactics and what you're doing. Never give up.
Consistent action over time yields prodigious results. I used to have a standup comedy teacher who said that practice will outperform talent every time.
Every time we exercise a skill or talent, we solve another little problem in doing so. At first, we're just trying to complete the task. With repetition, we solve little problems with the task, we find greater efficiencies, and we polish the process to an art over time.
That constant repetition is why consistent action over time yields prodigious results. The success stories of pop culture got there by practicing what they do on a periodic, consistent basis until they've solved most of the problems encountered with getting the job done right, so they do it very well by the time we see them on screen.
I like that idea your standup comedy teacher expressed about practice outperforming talent every time. That is pretty cool! Thank you for sharing this!
You're very welcome, Terry. I still keep that in mind each day with the habits that I have built since that time.
Great inspiration. I don’t consider myself being particularly talented but I do have tenacity and consistency :)
Thanks for sharing this.
Those are key! Your tenacity and consistency will help you. Keep adjusting and getting better on a regular basis. Great to hear from you!
It's true that he did a great job. His passion and hard work made him the man he probably wanted to be. When he was in the fight, it was good to see him, now his films also give the same amusement. best wishes for this amazing man.
Yes, @rinkii. He has worked very hard in various professions. We can learn a lot from him.
Thank you for your comment.
You are most welcome!
@rinki You bet
😇😇😇
A great one @terrybrock , i first learnt about this from a book called The slight edge by jeff olson.
It's all about consistency, showing up everyday, improving by that 1%.
I've heard of that book by Jeff Olson. Thank you for reminding us of it.
Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after the other.
Thank you, @nathanmars. That is very good advice. Many short races one after the other. Sounds like a good plan!

nice fact ..and the simple reality of truth
@powellwoods Yep I agree
Indeeed.....when we put in the hard work consistently, it's only natural for results to show. Then, some people will come around and call it luck!
Yes, isn't it funny that they call it "luck" when they see what has happened? It is hard work and consistency that pays off. Thank you for your comment, @solcross.
Indeed. You are welcome :)
