The story of King, Prince and Phoebe.. from China meat market to Italy
Hello steemit Friends,
That's very, very good news for the pet lovers!
I told you: it was a very happy ending.
I will now write the story of King, Prince and Phoebe, three greyhounds rescued from the meat market in China and which arrived in Italy two days ago thanks to the intervention of the association "Pet levrieri Onlus" that works to defend animal rights. Here they found three families which adopted them.
King and Prince were rescued just in time by chines activists... they was in a van that was driving 'em to the slaughterhouse. They were doomed the moment they were rescued. But... fate has decided otherwise.
Phoebe has possibly even sadder story. She has been inappropriately used to give life to a disproportionate number of dogs until to bring her to to exhaustion. Then she was sold to the meat market and there she was rescued.
They had to travel more than seven thousand kilometers, and they had to go all the way across the world to meet their new families.... but now they're safe! They have some families to take care of them!
It will be a fantastic christmas for King, Prince and Phoebe and their new families! They are still alive and will receive the love and affection they deserve.

Thank you for sharing the "Good News" @miti. I'm glad the dogs were able to be rescued and were adopted by good families rather then end up on peoples super plates. I love reading good news sure makes me smile :)

People can be so cruel. Dogs give us everything they have. They don't deserve a fate like the one these were rescued from.
I read a story a while back about the dog trade, racing in particular. It was here on Steemit. Let me find the link. It's told from the perspective of the dog. Absolutely heartwrenching. It's too old to upvote, so this isn't a play for that. I just think you'll like it. Very relevant to what you posted here.
