Country Curator Project Update

September 22nd, 2020 Update

Project Background

The Country Specific Curation Program was initially funded by @shortsegments with 16000 SP, but this was divided amongst 16 accounts curating 16 countries, the intent was to provide additional rewards to the posts manually curated by Country Representatives to posts in #thediarygame However the votes were very small.

Project Change

The delegations to the 16 small accounts have been removed and a single account created @country-curator to provide a larger account, supported by the country curators. The votes will be proportioned by country by proportion to the amount of SteemPower that is is delegated by your country.

The net effect will be larger account, larger votes, but in proportion to your countries contribution. Thus all countries can benefit by pooling resources, but proportionate to your contribution.

Project Support will be primarily the countries.

I wish this project to be a demonstration of our ability to network within the Steemit Community for our mutual benefit. If individual Steemians can pool their resources to make this project successful it will be a demonstration project to encourage Steemians to support other pooled resource projects. But I hope the Steemit inc., team will match the delegations to encourage this type of networking and engagement.

Match Country Delegations

I also hope that Steemit Inc., will provide matching delegations. For example @tarpan has already delegated 400 SP, so I hope Steemit Inc., will match that delegation. @steem @steemit @steemitblog @steemcurator01
In this way Steemit Inc., supports engagement and supports these networking efforts to build engagement, and the projects goal of supporting the three R’s : Rewards, Retention and Recruitment

Engagement and Networking

I believe rewards promote retention, and promote recruitment. But I also believe engagement through networking will also increase rewards. We all see the effect of size on @steemcurator01 and @steemcurator02 vote size. I also believe we saw the effect on vote size of the small country-specific accounts.

Size matters, individually we are small & votes are small.

Let’s pool some of our resources.
Remember that pooling resources multiplies the size of the reward vote, so each project can multiply the size of your vote to support specific causes or interest.

Goal

The Idea is to provide country specific curation on the #thediarygame posts by following the votes of the Country Representatives selected by Steemit Inc.,
The @country-curator account will distribute votes via an auto voter, but the auto voter follows the manual votes of the Country Representatives for each country which participated by delegation.

In this way the votes were awarded according to a posts merit, utilizing the Country Representatives judgement and knowledge of the language and culture of each country.

Proportional Vote

The maximal voting percentage will mirror the percentage of the pool. The maximum .

[ ] 12. After adding your active key, check okay and it will complete the delegation operation.

[ ] 13. You can now check your Delegations, specifically outgoing Delegations and you should see Country-curator
