Steemit Greetings to you all, it is with the utmost pleasure to update you about today's events. I was awakened by footsteps running in our backyard as well as muffled voices which did not sound familiar at about 4:30pm. This was a very unusual happening but immediately, my senses recalled the day we were robbed, and the activities felt a bit familiar. Alas! I jumped up on my bed, hid my phone, which was my only asset if robbed and ran straight to my Aunty's room. I tapped her quietly, Theif! Theif ! Theif! (In my dialect), she sat up from her bed and alerted my father. Lo and behold, the mechanics' workshop beside it was under a robbery attack. The thieves had manipulatively cut off the padlocks from the gate, and they were ready to loot generators and other mechanical tools. Apparently, one of the thieves had been caught, and the others had escaped with their autorickshaw. The young man who was caught was beaten and cut blue and black and the host of neighbors gathered. He confessed to being a thief, as against what he had earlier said, he even mentioned the names of the other gang members and affirmed that they usually hang around the Maitama area (Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo) planning a series of robbery attacks. The thief was marched down to the youth president of Ewet Offot. Unfortunately, I could not follow them, neither could I take pictures as it was the wee hours of the morning. As the thief was taken away from the vicinity, I decided to continue my beauty sleep since it was just a few minutes past five, but it was interrupted by discussions about the recent happenings by the rest of the family members.

At around 7:00 am, I did some simple house chores, dropped my SGS online reports and had my leftover beans and plantain porridge for breakfast. Due to my schedule today, I had to visit the University of Uyo with my cousin to aid him in purchasing the online screening form at the Convocation Park. This ordeal was successful at around 1:25 p.m.

Also, I was prepared to attend a church service today in honor of the inauguration of the new province in the Uyo family. The newest province in RCCG Uyo is Province 13 at City of God Shelter Afrique Estate. The theme of the service was:. The right attitude to God's work and the text was from Nehemiah 6:2 I was reminded that every great job will always face opposition, but one must not yield and one must be cautious not to behave like sanbalat and Tobiah. It was an awesome time in God's presence today as the new provincial pastor was my very own pastor. I was elated about his promotion, but will also be missing this warm man. Words cannot express the emotions around the feeling of his transfer to another parish as I will be missing this family and their good deeds. The service came to an end with lots of things in praise to God.

I made sure to be transported back home because of the nooks and crannies of where this parish was located, there were no children's play and if you have ever been lost in an Estate you will know that it is the beginning of no end because all the houses usually look alike. Anyway, I arrived home safely, had my bath, ate my meal and made sure to tell you about my day.

Sleep and rest are calling my name and I will yield to their call after this.
