Personally, I believe that the human reflex mechanism is a linearly amplified logical thinking mode designed by the Creator, which is beneficial in satisfying basic survival needs.
When basic survival needs are met, this linearly amplified thinking inertia cannot be stopped, just like a car driving at high speed needs braking distance, so it magnifies material desires to unlimited materialistic comparisons, which is the fundamental reason for the rampant material desires of contemporary humans. Especially serious is that besides survival, people do not have clear higher goals, so they can only entertain themselves to death.
