Firtst I am going to begin with some tips around food.
Frozen meat:
Yeah I know, frozen meat? Well, here where I am from meat is to expensive to buy it on a daily basis for cooking that is why we are buying it in bulk to froze it.
Frozen sausage / mince: If you would like to thaw mince / sausages or any kind of meat you had been frozen with in an hour or so when you are in a hurry to make supper. Pour some hot tap water or boiling water from the kettle over the frozen meat. Then use it like it is fresh. I never got it where it was halfway cooked with this method. The mince may look cooked on the outside with this method but I can assure you, it is fine.
When you are home during the day, you can place it inside a bowl in the house where there is sun coming in. The meat won't be harmed this way. And it has enough time to thaw and will be ready to use by supper time.
Otherwise the old fashion way, in the refridgerator in a bowl / container.
This ways I am finding it easier as electricity is also way to expensive here.
