Why Thanksgiving shouldn't exist
Have you ever wondered what really happened when Columbus ''discovered'' America? Why is it that thanksgiving is a natioinal holiday ? And what roles do natives play?
This blog post is thourougly reasearched and considering natives have been here over 20 000 years ago - the information is blurry and it takes time to find all necessary hidden information.
First off, when did natives first discover America ?
In the late ice age about 20 000 years ago indian descendants journeyed from Asia to Alaska across the Bering Land Bridge. This bridge only existed in the ice age. The natives expanded on the west coast and by 10 000 BC covered the whole continent.
So America was inhabited by natives. Many many natives.
Now let's talk about the European Settlement history.
In 1492 there were first european settlements by Columbus. In 1607 there were first colonizations of the British Kingdom in Jamestown and Virginia. By 1620 pilgrims colonized Massachusets. All in all England has created 13 states in America by 1770 with 2.5 million inhabitants.
Before I continue I would like to define the word
Why genocide? Because there was an active Native American genocide our history books ''forgot'' to mention.
The American Indian holocaust, known as the 500 year old war and the worlds longest holocaust in the history of mankind and loss of human lives. The death toll reaches up to about 1 billion deaths. Through murder , rape and many many western diseases.
As if that wasn't brutal enough, finding Indians would actually bring you 200 Dollars. 200 dollars were worth about 4000 dollars in those days. Summed up there were rewards for finding indians and killing them or finding dead indians.
The white man also killed about 31 million buffalos- depriving natives of food sources and clothing.
President Roosevelt made Thanksgiving an official national holiday celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November. Celebrating the 'peaceful' encounters of sharing food and presents. What does reality say? the complete opposite.
What did other famous presidents have to say about the red race ( Indians ) ?
George Washington ( 1st president ):
Theodore Roosevelt ( 26th president) :
Today only a very small amount of natives still live inAmerica in Indian Preservations. They make up a tiny percentage of the American population.
Standing Rock is another great example in how Indians are still being oppressed by the government. That is all the government is interessted in- in making profit. Side note : Standing Rock was invested by Citibank, Wells Fargo and pension funds. Peaceful protests turned into a battle between the natives and the American military.
Don't you see it's all about profit. That is crucial to understand. If you have money- you have power.
The Government of the United States of America, throughout its whole history, uses military forces against the innocent, breaks the law, exploits the land… and for what exactly?
