Hello Steem-guys,
I've been thinking for a long time about how I should record my Thailand adventures, now I've decided to publish them on Peakd. For me it was a mind-blowing experience that changed my views and thinking in many ways.
Hope you will enjoy and maybe can take some tips if you decide to travel to Thailand or if you think about retirement.
Anyway, I hope you`ll enjoy the ride.......

Once upon a time in Germany......
Germany about 14 years ago, the marriage had failed, my daughter had moved out and was well looked after. Divorce, selling the house and what now? I had been interested in Thailand for some time, its incredible nature, culture and lovely Thai people. So, booked a flight and took a 4 week vacation to get to know the country and its people.

Bangkok

My first trip to Thailand started in Bangkok, from there I wanted to book my tour, with the VIP bus to Ayutthaya, the historic capital of Siam, the former name of Thailand and the capital at the time, then further north to Chiang Mai among other things, I wanted to go on a jungle trekking tour and then take a flight to Phuket.

I left the Bangkok airport, took a deep breath and.............

it was a feeling like Homecoming...
This indescribable smell of Bangkok is unique and difficult to describe, but once you breathe it in, you will never forget it.
