"The Tezos Foundation has decided to delay the fundraiser previously scheduled for Monday, May 22, until some time in June" - the latest update from an email I got from Tezos.

Tezo Foundation is Switzerland based, Tezos stand's for - "smart contract" in Ancient Greek.
Tezos is no mined but rather a proof of stake is rewarded to those holding Tezos long term.
Proof of stake will be a important part of the Tezos culture and system and each token holder can participate as a delegate regardless of the amount they hold.
Tezos is a self amending cryptographic ledger using a decentralized blockchain system.
Using mathematically that proves the correctness of the code and boosts the security for sensitive and financially smart contracts.
