Early Days
In the beginning, electric induction was done with friction. Rub Amber with fur, and energy was produced. Rub glass with silk, and another type of energy was produced. The former was labeled "Resinous" while the latter was known as "Vitreous" energy. Together these form "Frictional Energy".
These energy types are two distinct forms of equal electric force.
Then an experimenter noticed how a dead frog's legs twitched when he touched them with his dissection tools. This became known as "Galvanic Energy".
Later still, Lord Kelvin learned that water, when allowed to fall freely through a metallic hollow form, also gathered these distinct flows of energy unto themselves, forming reservoirs of charge in his "Thunderstorm Machine". This was to be known as "Static Energy".
Then, Faraday made a disk rotate between two poles of a magnet, and another form of energy was discovered. "Dynamic Energy".
And so, along came James Clerk Maxwell, who, in 1886 delivered his famous but now hidden treatise "On Molecular Vortices" in which he described these four forces and their mathematical relationships to the "aether".
His paper contained 20 equations. 5 on "Frictional Energy". 5 on "Galvanic Energy" 5 on "Static Energy" and 5 on "Dynamic Energy".
With these equations, written in Quaternion math, he described the relationships of matter's innate rotational path, and that of induced charge paths. He termed this path "Curl".
These principles negate Quantum math and so are now lost. But the operating processes remain as they are the corner stones of the material world.
There are four distinct methods of generating dynamic energy;
- Move a coil past a magnet.
- Move a magnet past a coil.
- Turn on or off an electromagnet in the presence of a coil.
- Change the polarity of an electromagnet in the presence of a coil.
This last method is the one which Nikola Tesla studied and which I will endeavour to explain in these pages.
